Dr. Szuster Psychiatry is a busy private practice in Jackson Heights, one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the country. We serve people in all stages of life with wide ranging behavioral health concerns, and we accept most private and public health insurance plans. The atmosphere in our practice strikes a pleasant balance of professionalism and warmth, and our multidisciplinary clinical staff is committed to evidence-based treatments.
The DBT program is the newest addition to our practice, and the selected intern will have the unique experience of being part of a growing program focused on modality fidelity. The intern will function as a primary therapist for DBT patients and will co-facilitate a skills group, a vital learning experience for a new DBT provider. Additionally, the intern will participate in weekly consultation team meetings and provide phone coaching for patients. Finally, the program manager is an alum of the CSSW DBT training program and understands the rigors of the academic program and the value the intern will bring to the team. Our goal is to both support and challenge the selected intern over the course of their internship.
