Samuel Fasulo, Ph.D.

For the past 4 years, Samuel Fasulo, PhD, has been the director of the Adolescent Dialectical Behavior therapy program, a comprehensive, outpatient adolescent DBT program embedded within the within the Anita Saltz Institute for Anxiety and Mood disorders at The Child Study Center (CSC) at NYU Langone Medical Center.  In addition to his experience working with youths with a wide range of mood, anxiety, and behavioral risk issues, Dr. Fasulo also enjoys working with behaviorally oppositional and high-risk youth who are resistant to participating in treatment as a result of the iatrogenic effects of prior suboptimal mental health interventions.  Prior to CSC, Dr. Fasulo was the  Director of Risk Management at Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center, a state psychiatric inpatient hospital in Rockland County, NY.  He also has served as Assistant Professor and clinical program manager of a couples-based communication and relationship skills building program at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY, and maintained a private practice in White Plains, NY.  He is a graduate of the clinical psychology PhD program at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA, where much of his research and graduate-level clinical training centered on complex trauma exposure and psychosocial outcomes in incarcerated and other behaviorally high-risk adolescents.
