- A current resume/CV (please include current practicum site, population and program type)
- A 1-2 page summary detailing your knowledge of and professional experience with DBT with individuals suffering from emotion regulation disorders. Please include why you are interested in studying to become a DBT clinician.
- At least one letter of reference addressing your capacity and potential to do intensive advanced psychotherapy study with high-risk individuals in an academic and clinically challenging environment. **All letters of reference should come directly from the person writing them – not through the applicant. The person writing the reference can submit the letter to swdbt@columbia.edu. **
Two interviews are required for finalists. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom. Applicants will receive confirmation and further instructions on the interview process upon receipt of a completed application. Applicants are responsible for submitting all application materials to [email protected]
All applicants are expected to attend a DBT Program Information Session. We have also added Q & A sessions. Sessions begin during Fall semester and are offered both live and on Zoom. Schedules are To Be Determined.
