Sofia graduated in 2015 from CSSW. Soon after graduation, she stumbled into user experience in the tech industry, which turned out to be a perfect blend of all her interests. She started off as a research participant recruiter at Google where she worked on bringing in publishers and advertisers to participate in Google Ads research. A year later, she jumped on another opportunity and relocated to Silicon Vally to work as an user experience researcher on the Google Analytics team. That’s the start of her career of working with designers, product managers and engineers to build user centric products through research and iterative design. She recently joined Uber in San Francisco.
Sofia advocates for the user and the social good in her UX practice. She is passionate about finding innovative ways to make a positive impact.
Sofia was born and raised in Shenzhen, China.
NOTE: Sofia will be speaking on her experience as an alumna of CSSW and not as a representative of Uber or her previous employers; i.e., the views expressed will be her own and not of the organizations.
