Children’s Corps aims to enhance the child welfare workforce by infusing the industry with passionate and dedicated workers who commit to supporting children & families in NYC, and have the potential to become leaders within the field.

Prior experience is not required to join the corps as each member completes a pre-service training that provides them with the knowledge and competencies needed to begin casework. The training brings together real world experience and classroom learning, while also building a community of support. After completing training, each member is placed at a partner agency in NYC. There, they receive a full-time salary and comprehensive benefits. During members’ two-year commitment, the program provides individualized peer-to-peer and staff support, professional mentorship, networking opportunities, and social events!

NYC Health + Hospitals Street Health Outreach and Wellness (SHOW) program is hiring Social Workers!

The program utilizes mobile clinics to provide behavioral health, social service referrals, and harm reduction services to homeless New Yorkers.

This is a great opportunity for those interested in community outreach, street medicine, and health care while supporting individuals experiencing homelessness! Clinical supervision and hours, loan repayment, and other benefits are provided! Starting salary at $72-77K. Accepting applications for all locations: Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx, and Elmhurst Hospital in Queens.

Peer Support Program for Recent Grads

Did you graduate in 2016 or later? If so, you have the opportunity to participate in a peer support group for CSSW alumni. Spearheaded by Alyssa Zakarian ’21, Syma Sambar ’21, and Ashley Leeds ’20, the group meets every second Sunday at 2:30 PM ET and every third Tuesday at 7:30 PM ET via Zoom.

Drop in to talk about social work, get advice on how to handle tricky situations in the workplace, or listen to the experiences of your CSSW colleagues. Guest speakers will be announced as well.
