Intimate Partner Violence: A Challenge for Community Supervision

Co-hosted by the Prisoner Reentry Institute and the NYC Department of Probation, the event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Louisa Gilbert, LMSW, of Columbia University’s School of Social Work, and will be moderated by NYC Probation Commissioner Ana Bermúdez. Dr. Gilbert will present IPV data from WINGS, a computerized brief intervention that addresses intimate partner violence among clients under community supervision. The event will include a panel discussion moderated by Ms. Bermúdez, featuring Probation Branch Chief Brenda Davis, Virginia Lasoki of the Fortune Society, Dr. Laurie Leitch of Threshold Global Works, and Aruna Krishnakumar, LCSW, of Hetrick-Martin Institute.
