Internship Program

Throughout the year we offer Columbia students the opportunity to intern with Center.  Our current policy intern is working on our campaign with Release Aging People in Prison (RAPP) to develop, coordinate and execute a spring symposium on aging and criminal justice.

Policy Intern: Skye Ross

Skye Ross is a dual degree MSW/MPH candidate. Prior to coming to Columbia University, she assisted on clinical research projects looking at the neurocognitive impacts of HIV and alcohol abuse at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. Her first year social work field placement with Sanctuary for Families introduced her to clinical work andcase management with survivors of domestic violence. She volunteered with the 2013 Beyond the Bars conference on mass incarceration and continues to work with the Criminal Justice Caucus at the School of Social Work. She plans to continue to work on issues relating to those impacted by the criminal justice system after completing her studies.
