About this Event
The goal of this event is to create a national student platform to address incarceration from a public health framework. Funded by the Incarceration and Public Health Action Network (IPHAN), this one-day conference will bring together students from schools of public health across the country to learn about some of the biggest issues surrounding incarceration today. After hearing from a series of speakers, students will participate in a workshop session to create an action list – a set of objectives that can be brought home and used to pursue advocacy on their own campuses. There will also be a performance of The Castle by the Fortune Society, and a light breakfast, lunch, and reception.
You may attend all or part of the event. Faculty and non-public health students are also welcome.
