Lecture: The Roma in Europe: Between State Law and Human Rights
April 5, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Free
We are very excited to announce that this Thursday, April 5 the Social Relations Lab at the Center for Justice in partnership with the Roma Peoples Project at Columbia University will have a special guest: anthropologist Ana Ivasiuc who lives in Germany and is the recipient of the 2017 Herder-Council for European Studies fellowship. This is a follow-up of a panel in Chicago last week together with our Director, Professor Geraldine Downey. Ana Ivasiuc will talk about the way that the law is being used to criminalize the Roma but also to advance a human rights agenda.
