Doors 6:30. No admittance after 7:30
DCTV, 87 Lafayette St,

Part of DCTV Presents series’ Confines That Bind strand

This event is part of our DCTV Presents signature screening and event series’ special strand Confines That Bind focused on incarceration and criminal justice reform, made possible by support from the Manhattan Community Award Program through the Manhattan Borough President, Gale A. Brewer’s, office.

DCTV proudly presents a showcase of short films from the award-winning documentary initiative produced by youth with incarcerated parents, Echoes of Incarceration. Exploring mass incarceration and its effects on families, these documentaries are told from the life experiences of the filmmakers themselves. Over the past few years, in addition to prisons, universities, and national conferences, they have worked with Sesame StreetUpworthy, and presented films at the White House.

Following the screening, we will be joined by the Echoes of Incarceration crew, founder Jeremy Robins, and filmmaker/advocate Ebony Underwood.
