Black Lives Matter Photography Exhibition Opening

Featuring Photographers: Douglas L. Adams, Jr., Kenneth Bazemore, Howard Cash, Ed Herman, Luftra, Melvin McCray, A.D. Minter, Ocean Morisset, Wali Muhmammad, Hakim Mutlaq, Kenya Smith, Princess Smith, Osaretin Ugiagbe

The Art Gallery is open to the public from 3 to 9 PM.

3:30pm – Curator, Jewel Shears will speak on the plaguing issues of over aggressive behavior by police that continue to take place in our community in reference to Black Life Matters Movement.

3:30p to 4:00p – Geoffrey Davis, District Leader, State Assembly 43rd District, Brooklyn, NY 4:00p to 4:30p – Yusef Salaam, member of the Central Park 5

4:30p to 6:30pm – Photographer Melvin McCray, will speak on his historic visit to Selma, present his documentary video footage of the “March over the Edmund Pettus Bridge” with President Barack Obama and others. Q & A, the
introduction of the photographers, dialogue and discussion will follow.

7:00p to 9:00p – Mix and Mingle – Light refreshments
