May 21st – Education on Both Sides of the Wall

The 2014-15 PRI Occasional Series on Reentry Research will highlight issues raised by the National Academy of Sciences’ groundbreaking report, The Growth of Incarceration in the United States: Causes and Consequences. Please join us on Thursday, May 21st, 2015, for the seventh and final installment in this series, Education on Both Sides of the Wall. This special half-day event, co-sponsored by the CUNY Academy for the Humanities and Sciences, will include two panels of distinguished speakers taking on the critical and timely topic of higher education for currently and formerly incarcerated individuals.

The event will be held in Room 9.64 in John Jay College’s New Building, with bagels & coffee available at 8:30am and the speakers beginning promptly at 9am. In addition to a keynote presentation and remarks by each featured speaker, the day will include moderated panel discussions and plenty of time for audience Q & A.
