Arts to End Violence Festival

The Crown Heights Community Mediation Center is gearing up for their annual Arts to End Violence festival! There is a block party (Kingston Ave Fest) on May 16^th and gallery opening on May 21^st. All are welcome at both events!

For the gallery show, they are currently accepting 2-D art submissions on the themes of violence and community empowerment.There is a cash prize for the top youth (24 and under) submissions but we accept and encourage pieces from artists of all ages. If you are interested in submitting, please bring the art to our office by the end of next week. You can contact Marlies at [email protected] to coordinate drop-off. For the Kingston Ave Fest, they are seeking organizations to table for the day. You can lead an arts and crafts activity or a resource booth, as long as it includes some interactive activity. Leading a booth can also be a great community service project for your youth. Email [email protected] if you are interested in reserving a table for the festival.
