1986-present: Faculty, Department of Physics, Columbia University.- I came to Columbia as an Assistant Professor and rose through the ranks to my current position as the I.I. Rabi Professor of Physics. During my first decade at Columbia, Shoji Nagamiya was my faculty mentor.
