Meyer Schapiro ’24CC, ’28-73 Faculty, ’75 Litt D., whose expertise ranged from Romanesque sculpture to contemporary art, redefined art history’s demands and ambitions. In 1978, Schapiro was awarded the College’s highest honor, the Alexander Hamilton Medal. Learn more.
