Learn about SIPA this summer

Right now, it’s prime weather for walking along the waterfront off Riverside Drive to your favorite bistro before heading across town with your friends for an afternoon at one of the dozens of museums in the city. And the sun warms the sidewalks just enough for your eyes to catch a glimpse of that heat-haze coming off the pavement. Hence, it’s clearly summertime in NYC.  Read More →

Can’t make it to campus, find us on the road

We’re visiting a few places this week so if you can’t make it to Columbia University in Morningside Heights, NYC then find us off campus.

Tonight (Monday, September 15) we’re heading south to midtown east (not that far away but for those who are already working, playing or living in the area, it’s just a faster and easier commute).  We’re participating in an admissions fair with a number of APSIA schools so you can meet a few of us in one evening.  And if international affairs is your kind of thing, you can also participate in a panel discussion with CFR experts discussing the New Middle East.  To register for the event, click here.  There is a small fee to attend the panel discussion but the fair is free (use “APSIA” as the promo code).

This week we’ll also be in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Mexico, and the US capital (Washington, DC).  For a list of where you can find us to learn more about SIPA, visit our website, under “On the Road.”  If you’re in New York and able to visit our lovely campus, come and attend an information session.

Learn more about the MIA/MPA program this summer

As we get ready to say goodbye to our graduating students, we’re also preparing to welcome a new class of students.  All the while starting up our information sessions for interested prospective candidates.

Our May campus sessions have been posted on our website — including our May 13th (oh! that’s next week) 12:00 pm ET virtual online information session.  (Register for it here.)  With all the hustle and bustle of admissions and graduation, we neglected to update the website with all of our summer dates but check back in a day or two and they’ll be up.  Besides our campus and online sessions, you can expect to find us in DC, Chicago, and Berkeley this summer.

Hope to see you around this summer.

you still need more information…

The final application deadline is approaching (February 5).

If you have questions about whether this is the right program for you, come to an information session.  We have scheduled four more on-campus sessions about  SIPA’s two year full time MIA and MPA degree programs this month — There is a session tomorrow ( January, 17) from 12pm to 1:30pm.  If you are in town, drop by.

After our January 31 information session, we will take a short recruitment hiatus during our heaviest application “reading” period.  Of course, we are still around for walk-ins and we’ll be back hosting on-campus sessions in late February/early March.  Be sure to check the Recruitment schedule on our website for further details.

For questions, please contact the Admissions Office at 212-854-6216 or at [email protected].
