Welcome to the SIPA Admissions Blog. Please note that the posts and content of this blog are directed to our two-year, full-time MIA and MPA programs.
This blog is written by current MIA and MPA students and SIPA admissions officers to connect prospective applicants to the Office of Admissions, and to introduce them to the application process, student experiences, recent events and alumni and faculty news. The mission of this blog is to provide prospective applicants with the knowledge to produce their finest admissions application by offering genuine advice from those who review the applications, as well as from the students who understand the campus environment the best.

The ceremonial entrance to Columbia University’s Morningside Heights campus is located at Broadway and 116th Street in Manhattan. The School of International and Public Affairs is located at 420 West 118th Street, between Amsterdam Avenue and Morningside Drive. The Office of Admissions & Financial Aid is located at 514 West 113th Street, New York, NY 10025, on the edge of Columbia University’s Morningside Heights Campus. Prospective students are welcome to drop by to speak with an admissions or financial aid counselor from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
