Competition in the Early Middle Ages: Toward a Definition of the Problem
Régine Le Jan is Professor of Medieval History at the University of Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne and currently visiting professor at the Department of History, Columbia University. Her research focusses on early medieval history, particularly Frankish history from the fifth to the eleventh century with a special interest in social and political anthropology, gender and kinship studies. She has also organised and directed large international research programs on Patrimonial transfers, on Elites and will be presenting her next project on Competition in the early Middle Ages in this seminar.
