MOBIA (61st and Broadway)
Part of a lecture series for the exhibition Dürer, Rembrandt, Tiepolo: The Jansma Master Print Collection from the Grand Rapids Art Museum

Rembrandt carefully observed the world around him, his family, people on the street, animals, and landscape. He captured people’s attitudes and emotions in abundant drawn sketches and prints. This talk will look at how Rembrandt’s study of the everyday informed his approach to biblical narratives.
