Archival Objects and What They Tell Us
NYU Washington, DC will host an Archival Research event co-sponsored by the Global Research Initiative on Thursday, November 14 at 6:00pm to be livestreamed to our NY campus.
The event will be moderated by Lindsay Krasnoff (US Office of the Historian, NYU Alumna) with panelists John Powers (NARA), Kathleen Lynch (Folger Institute), Rob Williams (US Holocaust Museum and Memorial), Emily Willard (National Security Archives), Annie Abrams (NYU GRI fellow fall 2103, English Department), and a representative from the Library of Congress
The panel will provide concrete guidance for students and researchers interested in utilizing DC based archives for their research projects, from undergraduate theses to doctoral dissertations. Participants will learn what materials exist where and how students of multiple disciplines can apply the extensive resources at DC based archives to execute original primary research.
