Based within the Columbia Climate School, as well as the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Mailman School of Public Health, our group researches a variety of topics related to climate and health, infectious disease, and social contagious processes. Most of our work is in silica, using mathematical, statistical, and machine learning approaches, which we use to simulate, understand, and forecast the variability and seasonality of these systems.
A list of some our current funded projects is found here.
Prospective students and researchers interested in joining the Shaman Group should check out currently posted opportunities.
