Implications of Augustus’s Rule: Although all of Augustus’s building projects were very grand, they were all built for public access, following Augustus’s principles of being a man for the people. Each of them is able to balance his image of being the princeps, while still glorifying his might as an emperor. Augustus was seen as a man of modesty who always made public interests a priority. This made him very popular among the people and he is frequently referred to as one of the greatest emperors of Imperial Rome.
