Before Finals, we held a mapping training using the free, open-source software TileMill. This tool is powerful yet accessible, with more intuitive controls and more automated features than expensive high-end GIS software. The resulting maps can be shared across various platforms. The training was led by Modi Research Group, and they have shared their training materials with all of us! These materials include:
