Penn PhD students will deliver brief lectures alongside a display of materials they have curated from the collections of Penn Libraries.
The Fall 2016 presentations will cover topics ranging from ethnography in early modern Italy to consumption in gilded age Philadelphia. The student curator will give a short talk about their choice of materials and the relevant historical context and then be available for questions and provide time for visitors to browse the display.
On November 4th, Steve Dolph will discuss “Notorious LDV: Scandal and Celebrity in Early Modern Spain.”
The presentations will begin at 5pm in the Lea library on the 6th floor of the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center. Following the talks and Q&A, there will be a wine and cheese reception.
