Professor Ronald Hendel, Norma and Sam Dabby Professor of Hebrew Bible and Jewish Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.

Hendel is the author of many articles and books, most recently “The Book of Genesis: A Biography” (Princeton University Press). He is the editor-in-chief of the Oxford Hebrew Bible, and is an occasional columnist for the Biblical Archaeology Review and the Huffington Post.
