Nicholas Vincent, professor of medieval history at the University of East Anglia, has published numerous important books and articles on various aspects of English and European history in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. He is currently completing an edition of the charters of the Plantagenet kings and queens from Henry II to John. He is the author of Magna Carta: A Very Short Introduction (2012) and leads a major project researching the background to Magna Carta. He is a Fellow of the British Academy.
This lecture is hosted by the Princeton University Department of History, and is open to the public.
