The graduate reading group, Reading the Bible in History, will be holding its second session this coming Tuesday, October 6th, from 5:30-7:00 in Room 627 at Van Pelt Library. We are excited to be led by Professor David Ruderman in a discussion titled, The Bible in Medieval and Early Modern Jewish Culture: Some Illustrative Examples. For this session, there will be no pre-circulated reading. We will consider five early modern Jewish texts, introduced and contextualized by David Ruderman, together in the seminar.
We looking forward to seeing you there, and if you have any questions please contact Drew Starling ([email protected]) or Philip Mogen ([email protected]).
