Rika Burnham, Head of Education, The Frick Collection
This three-session course will closely examine several masterworks in the galleries of The Frick Collection. With this shared looking as a collective point of departure, explore philosopher John Dewey’s notion of aesthetic experience, in which the work of art itself defines “an experience” separate and distinct from daily life. Recommended for museum and arts educators and students of museum studies.
This fall, the Frick Collection will be offering classes for educators, recent graduates, and university students. To register, email [email protected]. Classes are free but there is a $25 registration materials fee and registration is required. For a list of courses this year, visit here.
