MARC’s annual conference is just around the corner (March 28-29); it promises to be a great day (and evening before), including an opening talk by Paul Binsk the evening of the 28thi, “Gothic and the technology of enchantment,” a key-note talk by Stephen Jaeger, “Life-Writing (Bio-Graphy): The Textualizing of Religious Charisma (Bernard of Clairvaux and Francis of Assisi),” and three panel sessions: “Aura and Identity,” “Power and Attraction,” and “Vision and Enchantment” (full program attached!), featuring speakers from all over. I’m hoping you’ll be able to attend and, as my subject line suggests, I’m also seeking a few (3 to be exact) people to fill the role of “emcee” for the panel sessions (i.e. calling the session to order, introducing the speakers, and fielding questions).
