Please join the Columbia University Medieval Colloquium on Friday, February 21 for a talk by Professor Nicholas Watson, Chair of Medieval Studies at Harvard University. Professor Watson will be speaking on the topic of, “The Construction of Sacred Power: Vision and Liturgy in John of Morigny’s Book of Flowers (1301-1315).” The event will take place in 516 Hamilton at 6:00 PM.
Limited spaces are available for dinner with Professor Watson following the event. If you would like to attend the dinner, please reply to this email ASAP, or at the latest by Wednesday February 19. (Please note that students and faculty will be asked to contribute to the cost of the dinner, $15 and $25 respectively, which must be paid in advance to the event organizers. Reservations for the talk itself are not necessary).
