The second meeting of the Medieval Forum this semester will take place this Wednesday, March 28, 6:00-8:00pm in room 505 of 19 University Place. For this last meeting before Sarah Kay’s talk on April 17, please read the attached documents. We will read the Introduction from Jill Mann’s From Aesop to Reynard, as well as the last three (relatively short) chapters from Joyce Salisbury’s The Beast Within: Animals in the Middle Ages. For our purposes (and to help you budget your time), Salisbury’s last chapter, which includes a discussion of the Bestiaire d’Amour, is a little more important than the other two.
