Professor Joel Kaye (Department of History, Barnard College) and Professor Paul Strohm (Department of English and Comparative Literature, Columbia University) will hold a conversation on the Introduction and Chapter 5 of Professor Kaye’s new book, A History of Balance 1250-1375: The Emergence of a New Model of Equilibrium and Its Impact on Thought (Cambridge University Press, 2014).
