Please join the Medieval Forum this Friday, December 6th, 3-5pm, for a talk by the NYU English Chair, Christopher Cannon. The title of the talk is “Vernacular Latin vs. Literary French: Literacy Training in Fourteenth-Century England,” which should speak to not only medievalists, but also to anyone interested in early schoolroom learning in England and the history of the production of English literature and literary culture.
