Writing an Early Modern Life: The Case of Richard Stonley
Description: Alan Stewart, professor of English and comparative literature at Columbia University, will discuss the three diaries of a late Elizabethan government official purchased by the Folger Shakespeare Library. The diaries provide insight and an alternate perspective to the known facts about Richard Stonley’s life.
