The Society for the Study of Women in the Renaissance will meet on Thursday, November 17 in Room 9205 at the CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street to hear Patricia Akhimie (English, Rutgers University) speak on “Gender and Travel Discourse: The Travels of Lady Catherine Whetenhall (1649-1650).”
The meeting will begin with wine and cheese at 6 p.m.; the talk will start at 6:15. Afterwards, all are welcome to join us for supper at a local restaurant.
