On Friday, April 15, at 2 pm in 622 Dodge Hall, Dr. Jacomien Prins (University of Warwick) will present a talk: “Girolamo Cardano on Music as a Remedy ‘for the Troubles that Result from the Misery of Human Misfortune’.”
Dr. Prins is a Global Research Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Study at the University of Warwick and a member of the Centre for the Study of the Renaissance at that university. She has published many articles on Renaissance philosophy in addition to the monograph, Echoes of an Invisible World: Marsilio Ficino and Francesco Patrizi on Cosmic Order and Music Theory (2014).
