The Society for the Study of Women in the Renaissance will hold its April meeting on Thursday, April 26, at the CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street, in room 9206. Virginia Cox, Italian, NYU, will speak on “The Myth of Counter-Reformation Misogyny.” The meeting will begin with wine and cheese at 6 p.m.; the talk will start at about 6:15. After the talk all are welcome to dinner at a local restaurant.
