Ambassadors, 2020-2021

Sara Bell (CC ‘21) is from San José, California, and is majoring in English, though she’s toured through mechanical engineering, biology, and history on the way there. She’s interested in literary forms of identity and their social impact, and the intersection between scientific and social change. She spends her spare time these days doing the crossword, scratching her dog Gromit behind the ears, and planning her future life on a houseboat.

Teresa Brown is a senior in Columbia College double majoring in Applied Mathematics and History. She has conducted research in both fields and hopes to combine her interests in her senior thesis. Teresa is a member of the Columbia Dance Team and is the incoming Historian for CU Players.

Rhea Sahai is from McLean, Virginia, and is majoring in Neuroscience & Behavior, and concentrating in Public Health. She has been spending her free time in quarantine binge-watching Community and badly losing to her mom in Scrabble. She is particularly interested in researching health inequity in the United States— a topic that’s been receiving lots of attention lately due to the pandemic.

Born and raised in Hawai‘i, Isabel Wong’s research interests include coloniality, sovereignty, and all things food. When she isn’t overthinking emails, she’s scrolling through Libby, adding more garlic, or standing in line for free stuff. Isabel studies women’s and gender studies and creative writing.
