Who we are:
Officially recognized by the Columbia University Student Governing Board in December 2009, Campus in Context is a campus group determined to provide students with a diverse multifaceted view of the Middle East. CIC allows students to create their own educated opinions, affording an even ground for students on campus to feel comfortable discussing the Middle East.
What we do:
o Host panels of several speakers with diverse perspectives on MidEast topics
o A bi-annual newsletter
o Student reviews of events
o Listing of Middle East related events on campus
Why we do it:
CIC’s goal is to have students develop an understanding of the complexity of the situation as an impetus to discover their own standing on the issues. CIC provides students with resources to research and find answers comfortable to them.
