· Al Queda in Yemen has been able to attack security forces since the Saleh confusion. Saleh has had less influence on the terrorist group in recent weeks since the demonstrations, and Al Queda can plan attacks more freely

· Syrian authorities agreed to talk with protesters

· America supported Yemenite president Ali Abdullah Saleh for his assistance in fighting the Yemeni branch of Al Queda.  Now, America begins to remove support because of his repressive ruling and insist on another leader.

· Abdul Fattah Younes = Libya’s rebel army leader, used to be interior administer of Qaddafi. The rebels are not cooperating with each other and are stumbling

· The Palestinian state would include the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.  Shimon Peres is coming to White House on Tuesday

· Goldstone reconsiders his report. Richard Goldstone says, “If I had known then what I know now, the Goldstone Report would have been a different document.” (Wash. Post). He now says that the killing of Palestinians was not intentional as a matter of policy

 

3/30/11

· Palestinians to ask for UN recognition if peace talks fail, says Abbas. Abbas will try to settle for a state with Israel, but it Israel doesn’t recognize a Palestinian state, then he will turn to the UN in September to request an independent state

· Obama vows not to be involved in Libya, yet CIA agents are working there
