We are upgrading WordPress to the latest version (3.4.1). This update is scheduled for 7/11/2012 between 5 and 6pm. This update can potentially cause some plugins and themes to stop working.
We are running a separate copy of the blog along with all pending updates. You are encouraged to check your blog on this “staging” site to make sure there are no issues. You can see your blog with the pending updates by following these instructions:
- Once you log in to your blog, you will see a message in the administration area pointing you to your blog’s counterpart on our test server. Follow the instructions in that message to log into your test blog.
- Browse around your test blog to see if any pages seem to be malfunctioning. In particular, check to see that your theme still looks the same, and that any plugins you are using are still functioning correctly.
- You should not make any updates on the test blog. Any updates you make in this test area will get deleted.
