| Peihua Wang, PhD Post-doc Research Scientist (Nov 2022 – June 2025) Peihua received his PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. His dissertation research addressed questions related to the physical and ecological mechanisms underlying infectious disease transmission in built environments. Specifically, he studied surface-mediated transmission dynamics using mathematical modeling and metagenomic sequencing, for devising environmental infection control measures. At Columbia, Peihua worked on developing model-inference systems to identify key factors contributing to recent measles epidemics and to inform effective elimination strategies. Subekshya Bidari, PhD Jianjiu “JC” Chen, PhD
Post-doc Research Scientist (Oct 2020 – April 2024) JC received his MPhil and PhD from the School of Public Health at the University of Hong Kong. At Columbia, he worked on multiple projects, including modeling measles epidemic dynamics in China, and early-onset cancer in the US. Dr. Chen joined Insilico Medicine (Hong Kong), after his postdoc training at Columbia.
