AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, Teach for America

Each year SIPA is proud to provide funding for some of our admitted applicants with ties to certain professional or academic organizations. For example, SIPA agrees to provide fellowships to a minimum number of Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and Teach for America alumni each year. The process is competitive and we cannot award funding to every admitted applicant with such experience, but we value the experience applicants to our program gain by working for such organizations.

When filling out the admission application applicants have the opportunity to list experience with specific organizations via a drop down list. To be considered for fellowships with ties to particular organizations simply indicate your affiliation in the appropriate place on the application site. This will alert the Admissions Committee and applicants who are admitted will be considered for such awards.

Financial Aid: Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation

SIPA is proud to partner with several organizations that provide fellowship funding to admitted students. One such partner is the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF).

Information concerning the MBRF can be found by visiting their web site. In sum, the fellowship is available to admitted students who are citizens of Arab League States. MBRF will pay all of the educational expenses of those who are both admitted to SIPA and approved by the foundation. The admission process to SIPA and for foundation funding is separate so please complete your SIPA admission application on-time and visit the MBRF web site to find out how to apply for the funding.

SIPA External Fellowship Directory

Graduate school can certainly be expensive and we highly encourage all applicants to seek external scholarships and fellowships. SIPA does offer fellowships but we also manage a web based scholarship database with information pertaining to external funding opportunities. Many different organizations, philanthropists, foundations, etc. wish to support those pursuing a graduate education and we do our best to provide such information to prospective applicants.

You may view our searchable, RSS enabled database by clicking here.

We encourage you to start searching for scholarships and fellowships as soon as possible. The cost of education can be quite high and the earlier you start to the search process, the greater the possibility that you will obtain funding that does not require repayment upon graduation.

"The most global public policy school, where an international community of students and faculty address world challenges."
