[CANCELLED]  Dr. Nabila El-Bassel presenting “Multi-level HIV Interventions by GHRCCA in Central Asia: Advance and Challenges” and GHRCCA’s Assel Terlikbayeva presenting: “‘Friendly negligence’ and other problems: Barriers to Antiretroviral Therapy Adherence among HIV-positive people who inject drugs in Kazakhstan.”

April 26-27: The Fourth Conference on Advancement of Social Work in Post-Soviet Countries: Achievements and Challenges of Social Work Education in Baku,  Azerbaijan. Gulnara Zhakupova, UNI Project Director at GHRCCA will present on “Achievements and Challenges of Social Work Education in Kazakhstan.”

May 11th: Social Work Congress. Melissa Meinhart, Project Director for ASPIRE, presents ASPIRE’s work in Istanbul, Turkey.  Learn more.

May 19th: Resilience Measurement and Analysis.  Dr. Lynn Michalopoulos will serve on as a panelist/speaker at the USAID conference, discussing findings from her recent publication and how she and her team adapted the global trauma scale in Uganda. Washington, DC.

May 21st, 1-2 pm: Forced Migration in Turkey: Changing Legislation & Practices Since the 1990s. Presented by visiting professor Deniz Yukseker, Chair, Department of Political Science and International Relations Istanbul Aydin University; sponsored by ASPIRE.
