Quincy Confoy

QUINCY CONFOY is a playwright, actor, and theater artist from New York City. She holds a B.A. in Theatre and Performance Studies and Gender and Sexuality Studies from Brown University, and has studied at Trinity College Dublin and with the National Theater Institute. Her plays have been staged at the NY International Fringe Festival, Eugene O’Neill Theater Center (with NTI), Ensemble Studio Theater, and the Powerhouse Theater (with NYSAF). She is a recipient of Brown University’s Rhett S. Jones Award for Outstanding Contributions in Scholarship for her work on the Black Lavender Archive, a collection of Black queer performance art. Quincy has worked with a variety of NYC theater organizations including Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, MCC Theater, and the Women’s Project Theater. Most recently, she worked with Elevator Repair Service Theater as their Director of Development.
