MC CROSBY (she/they) is a playwright, performer, and choreographer based in Brooklyn whose work marries dance and dialogue. A global artist, MC’s work has been produced in New York City, Scotland, China, Singapore, Indonesia, and Madagascar. Their movement-infused play Sleeping Soldiers received four stars at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and semi-finalist status for Amnesty International’s Freedom of Expression Award. MC was a finalist for the Playwrights’ Center McKnight National Residency, and they won the Kaufman Playwriting Award for their immersive yoga play Um…Om. The New Jersey Play Lab workshopped their reproductive health meets Irish banshee play Eight-Hand Jig in their political theatre festival, and the play received a showcase reading at the University of Central Florida. They recently were awarded a grant from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council to stage their site specific Alcoholics Anonymous play Uncle Al in Winter 2027. MC uses poetic physical theatre to create socially conscious art addressing gender and Queer identity, body image, and mental health.
