Art By Subway NYC; The Making Of

When I was collecting photography for my mobile app I traveled every subway line in the system and made stops at well over 100 stations that feature art installations. This was a rewarding experience in that I was able to see sections of the city I may not have otherwise scene and some of the visual standpoints of the train platforms provided for some really fantastic view where one really gains a sense of appreciation the layout of the city and the subway system.  What I find to be the most visually stimulating is how the elevated tracks seem so flat and appear to continue on forever and roll over the city streetscapes. Here are some photographs from those journeys. many of these were taken during the spring and summer of 2011.
