About FL@GS

FL@GS is dedicated to serving the first-generation and low-income undergraduate and post-baccalaureate population of the School of General Studies. We are built with the mission of cataloging existing and creating new FGLI resources and opportunities, building and fostering a supportive and collaborative community, and working with other student groups, organizations, and Columbia University departments to galvanize policy movements and accomplish advocacy and action initiatives. This is a social group meant to provide an understanding and productive space where FGLI students and their allies can spread information and build connections.

While not recognized at the moment, we’re on the road to recognition by one of the student governing boards. We’ll keep you posted!
