FL@GS held a Valentine’s Day Cookie Decorating Event where new or prospective members could meet and greet in GS Lounge, all while enjoying some tasty Insomnia Cookies! It lasted for 2 and a half hours and it was open to all GS students. Thank you to everyone who came; we hope to see you at our future programs!

Even though it’s only been two months, it has been a very big year for us because things that have been in private planning for quite some time have finally been kicked off to the public. Not only did we send out our very first newsletter to our listserv and launch our website, but we also had an amazing turnout at our very first event! We also have our social media accounts and email up as well as over 65 new members! As time goes on, we hope to grow bigger and throw more exciting events, including collaborations with other groups and organizations on campus.
Hopefully, by the end of Spring ’24, we’ll have our constitution more polished, have held and planned more events, and have more members! We’re also working towards trying to get additional resources for our community with the help of GSSC’s First-Generation, Low-Income, and Working Students Representative, Chelsey Giraldo.
We’re looking forward to doing and being more! đŸ™‚
