Maggie worked on the effects that reefs of the invasive serpulid worm Ficopomatus enigmaticus might be having on infaunal assemblages within the Coorong lagoon, in the Coorong National Park, South Australia. She sampled three sites with salinity values ranging from brackish to hypersaline, using dead and live reefs and a procedural control. She found no significant differences in diversity or assemblage composition between treatments, but a significant decrease in diversity and abundance by site, showing that the effects of increasing salinity in this highly modified estuary were having impacts on infaunal assemblages
